Conor McGregor Earns Whopping Sum By Betting On UFC Rival Nate Diaz Over Jorge Masvidal; Diaz Reacts

Conor McGregor and Nate Diaz were bitter rivals in the UFC but the two have always respected each other's fight prowess. Carrying an astute understanding of combat sports and being accustomed to Nate's in-ring game, The Notorious put $500,000 on The Stockton Slugger to win against Jorge Masvidal in the boxing match. McGregor and Diaz rendered two of the most celebrated fights of the Octagon. The two squared off at UFC 196 and UFC 202. Both have a win apiece over each other.

Conor McGregor makes huge sum by betting on Nate Diaz

While enemies can't be friends, they can surely help you make money. The case of McGregor and Diaz proves the assertion. McGregor put a huge sum of $500,000 on Diaz, and his victory over Jorge Masvidal in the boxing ring has fetched him over a million dollars. $1,625,000 to be precise.

"I’ve decided to put $500,000 on Diaz to win tonight’s boxing match. Range, form, experience, solely hands being used, I can’t see Masvidal causing any problems to Nate in a boxing ring whatsoever. They are both little play around dips**** in a fight, play around bollox, but I feel Nate does him in EASY here for real. $500k gets me back $1,625,000 all in."

And when the result went his way, he expressed his delight by tweeting: “THE RICH GET RICHER!!! Well done Nate, congrats!” He also declared that his winnings would be used for “Yacht fuel,” while telling Diaz “Nice! Thanks.”

On learning Conor McGregor making a huge number out of his win, Nate Diaz reacted by saying,  “That’s cool, good job for us!”
