'Coming Home': Rohit Sharma's Special Message For Nation As Team India Boards Flight Back Home

Indian Cricket Team have finally boarded their flight back home to India from Barbados after being stranded due to Hurricane Beryl. Hitman & Sky have a message.

The T20 World Cup 2024 Champions Team India are flying back home from Barbados after being stranded on the island ever since their epic victory over South Africa in the final at Kensington Oval.  

Rohit Sharma and his Co's return to India was delayed due to Hurricane Beryl affecting the flight route. The team was supposed to fly home on July 3rd but the flight was further delayed due to reappearance of the Hurricane in the flight route. 

But as it turns out, the World Champions are finally headed back home to India and captain Rohit Sharma alongside Suryakumar Yadav had a special message that will get fans excited about their return.

Rohit Sharma and Surya Kumar Yadav's message to fans on Team India's return back home 

Team India is bound to return back home and should be arriving in the early hours of Thursday morning at New Delhi. 

As Team India boarded the flight Rohit Sharma and Suryakumar Yadav shared a photo of them together on Instagram inside the flight with the World Cup trophy and the caption, “Coming home”.

BCCI's plan for Team India post their return

The Indian Cricket Team is expected to touchdown at New Delhi Airport in the early hours of Thursday Morning around 1:45AM. 

Post landing in India, the World Cup winning heroes are reportedly set to meet the Prime Minister Narendra Modi first. Post their meeting with Narendra Modi is concluded there hasn't been any confirmation of the plans from BCCI. 

However, reports have suggested that the team will then fly to Mumbai where BCCI have planned an Open Bus Parade across the city with the World Cup trophy. 

While, these plans have not been confirmed, when India last won the T20 World Cup back in 2007, the team led by Mahendra Singh Dhoni had a bus parade in Mumbai.
