Karnal Election Result 2024 LIVE: BJP's Manohar Lal Khattar Leading by More than 2 Lakh Votes

Vote counting for the Karnal Lok Sabha seat will begin at 8 AM. Haryana has a total of 10 Lok Sabha seats. The Karnal seat is considered a bell weather seat. It voted for Congress in 2009. In 2014, BJP wrested control of the seat and held it in 2019. 

BJP has fielded the former CM of Haryana, ML Khattar, from the seat. He is contesting against Congress' Divyanshu Budhiraja. Back in 2019, BJP had fielded Sanjay Bhatia and Congress had fielded Kuldip Sharma. BJP's Mr. Bhatia had secured 9,11,594 votes (70.08% of the vote share) whilst Congress' Mr. Sharma had secured 2,55,452 votes (19.63% of the vote share).

• As of 1:38 PM, ML Khattar is leading by 1 lakh 70 thousand votes. 
• ML Khattar has now widened his lead to around 1 lakh votes. 
• It is 11:52 AM right now. ML Khattar is leading by nearly 89,000 votes. 
• As of 11:30 AM, ML Khattar is leading by more than 65,000 votes. 
• ML Khattar continues to widen his lead. As of 11 AM, according to ECI data, he is leading by 42,000 votes. 
• ML Khattar is now leading by more than 28,000 votes. 
• It is 10:32 AM now and ML Khattar has widened the gap. He is leading by 25,795 votes.
• As of 9:46 AM, ML Khattar is still leading. ECI data suggests he is leading by more than 6000 votes.

• BJP's ML Khattar is trailing in the Karnal seat. Divyanshu Budhiraja of Congress is leading as of now.
