Delhi Shelter Home Manager an AAP Official, Was Under CBI Radar in Past

New Delhi: Probe in the death of 14 individuals at the Delhi Shelter Home Asha Kiran in July, is underway.

In a major update, the caretaker or manager of the shelter home has been identified as Rahul Aggarwal and he is a government official who has been under the CBI radar in the past.

Delhi Shelter Home Manager Identified as AAP Official

Amid the ongoing investigation of the fourteen deaths at Asha Kiran in just one month, the caretaker/manager of the Delhi shelter home has been identified as Rahul Aggarwal.

The caretaker of Asha Kiran has been managing the shelter home for over a year.

Rahul Aggarwal is a DANICS level officer which comes under the jurisdiction of Delhi Government.

What's more shocking is that the manager of the shelter home has a history of arrest.

Aggarwal has been arrested by the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) for charges of graft and taking a bribe in the year 2016.

It is important to note that there is still no clarity of what has resulted in 27 deaths this year inside the Delhi Government run shelter home. 14 of these 27 deaths have occured only in July this year.

BJP Demands CM Kejriwal's Resignation

Following the reports of multiple deaths among its residents, in Asha Kiran, a government home for the mentally challenged in Rohini, Delhi, Bharatiya Janata leader Shazia Ilmi demanded the resignation of the Chief Minister, Arvind Kejriwal. 

She also slammed the opposition INDIA bloc for maintaining silence over the issue. Meanwhile, the workers of All India Mahila Congress in Delhi started a protest against the Delhi government and demanded the resignation of Minister and Aam Aadmi Party leader Atishi over the deaths at Asha Kiran shelter home on Friday.
