Indian 2 starring Kamal Haasan as the vigilante Senapathy released in cinema halls on July 12 after a long wait. During the promotions of the pan-India film, director Shankar and lead star 'Ulaganayagan' Kamal Haasan shared that a third part in the movie is also in the offing. The hype surrounding Indian 2 has been immense leading up to its release. The movie has been in the making for close to five years now and with it finally hitting the big screens, netizens were quick to share their review of the Shankar directorial. Some clips of the film were also leaked online and viewers were seen cheering for Kamal Haasan's dialogue delivery and at his action scenes. Overall, the reviews of the film have been mixed.

Reacting to the film, one social media user wrote, "Just done with first half, mix of Indian & Anniyan at very slow pace. Hopefully 2nd half picks up. Lavish spend in every frame visible (sic)," another one commented, "cringe".

Shankar shares an update on Indian 3 for moviegoers

Director Shankar shared that just like Marvel movies, Indian 2 will have an end-credits scene. He talked about attaching the trailer of Indian 3 at the end of the recently-released sequel. "Just like Marvel movies, Indian 3 trailer will be shown at the end. Thirty seconds after the rolling titles, the trailer will be played. You can also call it a glimpse. It is about two and a half minutes long. After the completion of the trailer, the balance rolling titles will continue.”
