Did Rapper Zico Rob Goo Haara's Home After Her Death?

South Korean rapper Zico has come under scrutiny following renewed interest in the death case of Goo Hara. Over the weekend, SBS aired an episode of Unanswered Questions focusing on Goo Hara’s death, which also delved into a robbery at her home posthumously. The episode revealed that a safe containing Goo Hara’s old phones was stolen, and provided a description of the suspected thief.

Goo Hara’s brother on robbery

According to Koreaboo, Goo Hara’s brother appeared on the show and discussed the stolen safe, mentioning that he had removed all valuables before the robbery occurred. The episode described the robber as being around 5’8” tall and likely in his 20s or early 30s, and a sketch of the suspect was shown. Following this, numerous social media users in South Korea speculated that the suspect resembled Zico.

Zico's agency responds

In response to these speculations, Zico’s agency KOZ Entertainment issued a statement. "We have uncovered malicious and defamatory comments on social media about our artist, Zico. We have come to the decision to take legal action due to the severity of these defamatory comments and the level of misinformation being shared," the statement read. The agency further clarified, "We would like to clearly state that the recent rumors about our artist are false and defamatory, and we will be taking legal action."

About Goo Hara's death

Goo Hara passed away on November 24, 2019. The South Korean singer was found dead in her home, and her death was ruled a possible suicide. She had previously attempted suicide a few months before her death but had recovered at the time. Her passing shocked the K-pop community and her fans worldwide.
