Deadpool & Wolverine Box Office Collection Day 4: Ryan, Hugh Starrer Witnesses A Major Drop In India

Deadpool & Wolverine had an overall 20.15 per cent English (2D) occupancy on Monday with a maximum reported in Chennai (38.67 per cent).

Deadpool & Wolverine, starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman has been performing well at the box office. The movie opened to ₹21 crore in India and since then witnessed an upward trend in the collection. However, the real test was Monday, the first day of the week, and well the movie didn't pass the test.

Helmed by Shawn Levy, the movie witnessed a major drop in the collection on Monday, July 29. It managed to mint only ₹7 crore in India, according to early estimates reported by Sacnilk. Adding the fourth-day collection, the total stands at ₹73.65 crore. If the movie manages to steady itself at the box office then it might enter ₹100 crore club in the first week.

Deadpool & Wolverine smashes R-rated record with $205 million

The third instalment of Deadpool has collected  $205 million in the USA and $233 million in overseas, taking the total to $438 million worldwide in the opening weekend. Deadpool & Wolverine is the all-time 8th-highest opening. It shattered the opening record for R-rated films previously held by the first “Deadpool” ($132 million) and notched a spot in the top 10 openings of all time. Including international showings, where it’s racked up an additional $233.3 million from 52 markets, Deadpool & Wolverine is looking at a global opening of over $438.3 million.

The top domestic opening of all time still firmly belongs to Avengers: Endgame with $357.1 million. It’s followed by Spider-Man: No Way Home ($260.1 million), Avengers: Infinity War ($257.6 million), Star Wars: The Force Awakens ($247.9 million) and Star Wars: The Last Jedi ($220 million).
