RBI Grade B Recruitment Notification To Be Out On July 18; Check Vacancy, Pay Scale Exam Process

Reserve Bank of India (RBI) will soon release the RBI Grade B recruitment notification on its official website. The RBI Grade B General (DR), DEPR, and DSIM recruitment notification will be published in the Employment Newspaper and the official website - rbi.org.in on July 18.
The information about the notification was confirmed by the bank in a tender notification in which it is inviting bids through the MSTC portal (https://www.mstcecommerce.com/RBI) till July 15. The notice reads as follows: “Note: The Department of Communication (DoC) plans to publish an advertisement titled “Recruitment for the Post of Grade B DR (General/DEPR/DSIM) – PY 2024” in the major newspapers. The tender notice has been released stating that the release of the advertisement in the newspaper is likely to commence from 18 July 2024(Thursday).”
RBI Grade B Recruitment Notification 2024
Once the notification is released, aspirants will be able to apply online at rbi.org.in. Applicants must have a bachelor's degree from a recognised university. The candidates will have to pay the application fee of Rs 850 and those who belong to ST/SC will have to pay only Rs 100.
RBI Grade B Vacancy Details
The number of vacancies will be announced only after the notification is released. However, candidates can check the vacancy break-up of previous year here-
- Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR)–(General) - 222 vacancies
- Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR)–DEPR - 38 vacancies
- Officers in Grade ‘B’ (DR)–DSIM - 31 vacancies
RBI Grade B Salary 2024
Candidates who get selected will get a starting basic pay of Rs. 55,200/-p.m. in the pay scale of Rs. 55200-2850(9)-80850-EB-2850 (2) – 86550-3300(4)-99750 (16 years). At present, initial monthly gross emoluments (without HRA) are Rs. 1,16,914/- (approximately)
RBI Grade B Selection Process 2024
The selection process for the Grade B post under the Reserve Bank of India consists of three stages, which are Prelims, Mains and Interview.

Mode: Online
Duration: 2 hours

Reasoning
General Awareness
English Language
Quantitative Aptitude
Total Marks: 200
Marking Scheme: Negative marking of 1/4th of the marks assigned to the question for incorrect answers.
Maximum Attempts: 6 for General Category; no bar on attempts for SC/ST/OBC/PWD candidates.

Paper 1 – Economic and Social Issues:
50% Objective Test (30 objective questions)
50% Descriptive Test (6 descriptive questions, 4 to be answered)
