Train Accident: Could Kavach have prevented the Kanchanjunga Express tragedy?

Indian Railways' Kavach system has come under the spotlight after at least nine people died and dozens of others were injured as the Sealdah-bound Kanchanjunga Express and a goods train collided near New Jalpaiguri station in West Bengal. Kavach is a made-in-India automatic train protection (ATP) system designed to prevent train accidents.
