'Absolute Nonsense': Khabib Nurmagomedov DENIES Eagles' links with Dagestan terror attack

Khabib Nurmagomedov and his gym ‘Eagles MMA’ had recently come under the eye of fire after a militant of the horrifying terror attacks in Dagestan was found to be linked with the former UFC Lightweight Champion's institution.

Dagestan was recently rocked with horrifying terror attacks when gunmen opened fire at multiple Jewish and Christian worship places killing 19 people including 15 police officers and 4 civilians including a priest. Ever since the attack, five militants have been killed by Russian forces and among them is Gadzhimurad Kagirov - a former mixed martial artist who was reportedly trained by Khabib's father Abdulmanap Nurmagomedov at Eagles MMA. 

Amidst the controversy, Khabib Nurmagomedov came out and denied any links with the militant and condemned the actions as inhumane.

Khabib Nurmagomedov DENIES links with Militant 

One of UFC's biggest legends in Khabib Nurmagomedov recently came out and condemned the actions by the terrorists and slammed the reports that Gadzhimurad Kagirov was a student of Khabib or his father.  

“He is not our student, that's absolute nonsense, it is not true. Yes, he had a camp at the gym at some point, maybe for a couple of months. But he was never part of the team,” said Khabib Nurmagomedov to Ruptly. 

Khabib Nurmagomedov further reacted to the horrific terror attacks in his hometown of Dagestan and labelled them as inhumane. 

"This is inhuman. Going into a church and kill**g someone just because they practice a different religion. Do I really need to condemn this? Isn't it clear that this is a brutal and inhuman act?", said Khabib.

Khabib Nurmagomedov reveals he feared for family during terror attacks 

Not only did Khabib condemn the attacks he revealed that the attack took place 5 minutes from his home.  He was scared as he had his family, children and friends all living nearby. 

“People were being killed five minutes away from my home. How can this be normal? My children live there, my mother lives there, my family lives there, they're five minutes from the place….I was getting calls till morning”, revealed Khabib Nurmagomedov.

The Eagle's statements paint a horrifying picture of the accounts as Russia has now suffered with 2 terror attacks in the last 4 months.
