Sivakarthikeyan Starrer Amaran Release Date Postponed, Film To Hit Theatres On THIS Date

Kamal Haasan's Raaj Kamal Films International and Sony Pictures have officially announced the release date for Sivakarthikeyan's upcoming movie Amaran. The movie is now set for October 31, 2024. Initially scheduled for a September 2024 release, the Rajkumar Periyasamy directorial has been postponed to coincide with the Diwali festivities in October.

The movie is a biopic based on the life of Major Mukund Varadarajan. It is set in 2014, and revolves around a search operation and a terrorist attack in Shopian, Kashmir. It was originally planned for an August 15 release but was delayed to September 2024 due to an incomplete climax. The makers have now confirmed the new release date in October.

Big Diwali clash coming?

This Diwali, the box office will see an exciting showdown between two major films. Amaran is a compelling story of bravery and sacrifice, that will face off against the high-energy action and star power of Singham Again. Amaran comes out on October 31, 2024, and Singham Again comes out on November 1, 2024. 

The competition is set to be fierce, with both movies aiming for the top spot. Will Sivakarthikeyan's charisma and the captivating plot of Amaran surpass the appeal of Ajay Devgn's iconic role and Rohit Shetty's direction in Singham Again? The outcome of this battle will be revealed at the box office this Diwali.

About Amaran

Amaran is a biographical action war film produced by Raaj Kamal Films International and Sony Pictures Films India. Sivakarthikeyan plays Major Mukund Varadarajan, inspired by the book series India's Most Fearless by Shiv Aroor and Rahul Singh, which tells the story of Mukund Varadarajan's courage and life. The film also stars Sai Pallavi, Bhuvan Arora, Rahul Bose, Lallu, Hanun Bawra, Ajaey Naga Raaman, Mir Salman, Gaurav Venkatesh, and Shreekumar.
 

Sivakarthikeyan will also feature in AR Murugadoss' upcoming film, tentatively titled SK 23. Additionally, he will make a cameo appearance in Lokesh Kanagaraj and Rajinikanth's new movie, Coolie.
