TMKOC Nostalgia: Tapu Sena Then Vs Now - All Actors In Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah Gang

Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah has been entertaining audiences for more than a decade and a half now. It is inspired by the famous humorous column, Duniya Ne Undha Chashmah written by the eminent Gujarati writer, Tarak Mehta. It kicked off in 2008 and is one of the longest-running shows on Indian television, with over 4140 episodes and counting. During its 16-year stint, the show's characters have found a special place in the heat of the fans. Many actors are recognised in public by the characters they play in the show.

With Kush Shah, who played the role of Goli since the inception of TMKOC, recently announcing his exit from the show, many turned nostalgic. Goli is a part of Tapu Sena along with Tapu, Sonu, Gogi and Pinku. These characters have been essayed by different actors over the years. Here's a look back at how our beloved Tapu Sena has evolved with time.  

Tapu or Tipendra Jethalal Gada

When the show kicked off, Tapu was essayed by Bhavya Gandhi. He played the character from 2008 to 2017. Bhavya was replaced by Raj Anadkat, who played the role from 2017-2022. After his exit, Nitish Bhaluni is seen essaying the role.

Sonu aka Sonalika Bhide

Jheel Mehta played the role of young Sonu from 2008 to 2012. Now, she is engaged to be married and runs her makeup and hair business - Beauty By Mehta. After Jheel's exit, Nidhi Bhanushali stepped in to play the role and was seen in TMKOC from 2012 to 2019. Currently, Palak Sidhwani is playing the part of Sonu in the show.

Goli or Gulabkumar Hansraj Hathi

Kush Shah played the role of Goli from 2008 to 2024. He has been replaced by a new face in the show but details are kept under wraps.

Gogi or Gurucharan Singh Roshan Singh Sodhi

Since the start of the show,  Samay Shah has essayed the role of Gogi. His catchphrase "Chak De Phatte" is popular among the show's fans.

Pinku or Pankaj Diwan Sahay

An integral part of Tapu Sena and the eldest member of the gang, Pinku has been played by Azhar Shaikh since the show's start.
