'Sodhi' Gurucharan Singh To Return To TMKOC After Worrying 'Stunt'? Asit Modi Reassures Him But...

Gurucharan Singh popularly known for his role as Roshan Singh Sodhi in Taarak Mehta Ka Ooltah Chashmah created a heavy storm a few months back when he went missing. After 26 days, he returned to his Delhi house and told police that his disappearance was due to spiritual reasons. Since the news of his return surfaced, his fans have been confused if he would be joining the TMKOC. However, recently we have learned that he won't be returning to the popular sitcom.

Why Gurucharan Singh will not return to TMKOC?

According to a media report, the producer of the show Asit Modi shared that the new Roshan Singh Sodhi is not being liked by the audience and he is considering replacing him with Singh. The news seemingly confirmed the rumours when Singh met Modi earlier this month at the latter's office in Mumbai. While netizens speculated that he visited the producer for his role, but later Singh clarified that when he went missing, Modi had sent a message asking him to call him. Owing to this, he went to meet the producer at his office. Still, fans had hopes that he would return to play his popular role.

However, now Asit has put the rumours to rest once and for all. In a statement, he said, "For me, Sodhi is like my family. He was associated with us for a long period of time. After leaving the show for personal reasons, he used to come to meet me whenever he used to visit Mumbai.”

He added, "I was worried about him for what he did sometime back and out of concern I messaged him. He visited our office today and we had a heart-to-heart conversation today and gave him best wishes for his future."

What else do we know about Gurcharan Singh?

Singh, who played a fun-loving man in TMKOC, was part of the show for a very long time. But he left the show in 2013 only to return next year due to public demand. Again he exited the show in 2020 and since then he hasn't been part of any other shows.
