Hina Khan Powers Through Breast Cancer Treatment, Hides Chemotherapy Marks As She Resumes Work

Hina Khan shocked her fans with the news of her cancer diagnosis. The actress shared the news on her Instagram account announcing that the treatment of her stage 3 breast cancer has begun and she is determined to conquer the condition. Ever since the diagnosis, the actress has been sharing and chronicling the journey of her treatment on social media. Most recently, she shared that she has resumed work amid the treatment. 

Hina Khan hides stitches from chemotherapy as she resumes work 

On July 15, Hina Khan took to her Instagram account to share a video of herself getting ready for work. The actress shared that she has taken up her first work assignment ever since her cancer diagnosis. In the video, her team can be seen hiding her scars and stitch marks through makeup. The actress shared the video with a video on how she has begun treatment but simultaneously also does not ignore work commitments. 

Sharing the video, Hina wrote in the caption, "My first work assignment after my diagnosis.. Walking the talk is challenging, especially when facing life’s biggest challenges. So, give yourself a break on bad days; it’s okay… you deserve it. However, don’t forget to live your life on the good days, no matter how few they are. These days still hold importance. Accept the change, embrace the difference, and NORMALISE it," she wrote. She further wrote, “I look forward to the good days because I get to do what I love: Work. I love my work. I live my dreams when I’m working, and that is my greatest motivation. I want to keep working. Many people work regular jobs during their treatment without issues, and I am no different. I met a few in these months and trust me it changed my perspective.”

Hina Khan urges to normalise working through cancer treatment 

In the same post, Hina mentioned that it is necessary for people to ‘normalise’ working while battling cancer. She added, "FYI I am undergoing treatment but I am not always in the hospital..so to all you people out there, Let’s NORMALISE working and if you have the strength and energy, do whatever makes you HAPPY. And to all you beautiful people who are battling this disease, Remember, it’s your story; it’s your life. You decide what to make of it. Don’t give up and find what you love doing. Your work, your passion—if you don’t know what it is, invent it. But remember to give yourself the healing you deserve. Coz doing what you love is also Healing. ACCEPT, EMBRACE and NORMALISE IT.” 

Hina Khan, best known for her roles in serials like Yeh Rishta Kya Kehlata Hai, and Kasauti Zindagi Kayy, shared the news of her diagnosis on Instagram on June 28. Amid her treatment, the actress has been sharing endearing notes of motivation.
