Jailer 2 Has Something Special For Me: Yogi Babu Confirms His Return In Rajinikanth Starrer Sequel
Renowned Tamil actor Yogi Babu revealed that he will be part of the Rajinikanth’s starrer Jailer 2. He will reprise his role from the first installment.

Rajinikanth starrer Jailer was a success at the box office and was also appreciated by netizens and movie critics for its storyline. Director Nelson Dilipkumar earned praise for depicting Thalaivar in a new light.
In the latest development, Tamil actor Yogi Babu who played a comic role in Jailer has shared an exciting update about the sequel and confirmed his casting in the upcoming part.
Yogi Babu gives update about Jailer 2
In an interview, Yogi Babu revealed that Nelson is currently working on the sequel of Jailer and is crafting something "special" for him. He said, “Nelson is writing up something special for my character in Jailer 2."
Amid the hype surrounding Jailer 2, Nelson is hard at work with the pre-production. The sequel’s tentative title is Hukum, a song in the first movie which is served as the elevation in the pre-interval sequence.
Reports suggest that Jailer 2 first draft is locked and Rajinikanth has approved Nelson’ vision about his character Tiger aka Muthuvel Pandian. In the coming months, Nelson will churn out the sequel’s storyline and work on it in the coming months.
About Jailer
Jailer tells the story of Muthuvel Pandian, a retired jailer, who sets out on a quest for revenge after his son goes missing while investigating a smuggling case. The film also stars Mirna Menon, Shiva Rajkumar, Tamannaah Bhatia, Vinayakan, Vasanth Ravi and Mohanlal among others.
Rajinikanth’s upcoming projects
Rajinikanth's next release is Vettaiyan, which is directed by TJ Gnanavel. The film will also star Amitabh Bachcha, Fahadh Faasil, Dushara Vijayan, Manju Warrier and Rana Daggubati. The film is set to release in theatres in October this year.
Rajnikanth will also feature in Thalaivar 171 titled Coolie and is directed by Lokesh Kangaraj, well known for helming films including Leo and Vikram. The film will go on floors this year. There are also speculations that it will be part of Lokesh Cinematic Universe, but the director has refuted such rumours in the past.
