Indian 2 Box Office Collection Day 4: Kamal Haasan Starrer Crashes On Monday, Mints ₹3.15 Crore

Tracking the trends, the majority of the earnings are contributed by the Tamil version, while Hindustani 2 and Bharateeyudu 2 are struggling at the box office.

Indian 2, starring Kamal Haasan, is struggling at the box office. The movie, which opened at ₹25.6 crore at the domestic box office (all languages), is witnessing a continuous decline in daily earnings. Over the weekend the movie was able to mint ₹59.15 crore in India. The movie was expected to pass the Monday test but witnessed a major decline.

Indian 2 box office collection day 4

Helmed by S Shankar, the movie witnessed almost a ₹12 crore drop when compared with the day 3 collection. It minted ₹3.15 only, taking the total to ₹62.3 crore in India. Indian 2 had an overall 16.04% Tamil Occupancy on Monday with the maximum reported in Pondicherry (29.24 per cent). This indicates poor word-of-mouth for the long and highly-awaited sequel, in which Kamal Haasan reprises his role as the vigilante Senapathy.

Tracking the trends, the majority of the earnings are contributed by the Tamil version, while Hindustani 2 (Hindi) and Bharateeyudu 2 (Telugu) are struggling at the box office. If the numbers continue to drop, then it will be slightly difficult for the movie to enter ₹100 crore club this week.

What else do we know about Indian 2?

The movie is directed by S. Shankar and produced by Lyca Productions. Apart from Kamal Haasan, it also stars Siddharth, Rakul Preet Singh, S. J. Suryah, and Bobby Simha in pivotal roles. It is the second instalment in the Indian trilogy and a sequel to Indian (1996). Kamal Haasan reprises his role as the title character, Senapathy/Indian. In the film, he returns to India after over two decades to aid a group in dealing with corruption in the country.
