MBLAQ Thunder Ties The Knot With Gugudan Mimi In White Wedding Ceremony | Photos

MBLAQ  member Thunder, the younger brother of K-pop star Sandara Park, got married to Mimi, the former member of the girl group Gugudan. The first photos from their wedding ceremony were shared by Sandra on Monday, May 27. The couple went public with their romance in July 2023 and have been dating for 5 years now.

Mimi and Thunder tied the knot in a small-scale wedding that was attended by their close friends and family on May 26. Actor Choi Soo Jong officiated their marriage and hosted their ceremony. Trot singer Lee Chan Won and Thunder's sister 2NE1's Sandara Park both gave performances at the wedding.

Sharing the first photos from the wedding, Dara wrote a congratulatory message for the newlyweds on her Instagram handle. The singer’s caption can be roughly translated to, “Cheondung❤️Mimi Congratulations! On your wedding~! Congratulations my dongsaengs. Please be the happiest in this world. Thank you so much to everyone who came and congratulated them. I am very very happy.”

The couple made headlines last year in July when Thunder proposed to Mimi on the television show Second House 2. They revealed that they had been dating for four years.

Known for his work with the K-pop group MBLAQ, Thunder made his music debut in 2009 and went on to pursue a solo career, releasing his debut solo album, Thunder, in 2016. He showed off his lyrical skills last year when he took part in the well-known rap competition show Show Me the Money 11. In contrast, Mimi started her career in the entertainment industry in 2016 when she joined the girl group Gugudan. She moved on to acting when the group broke up.
