ADOR Issues Statement After NewJeans Receives Death Threat Ahead Of Concert
The knife image was allegedly taken from an online marketplace, and the poster threatened to use it against the members of NewJeans.

ADOR has responded to a recent online threat against the K-pop group NewJeans. Soompi reported that on Monday, an online post featured a photo of a knife with the caption, “I bought this to use if NewJeans holds a concert.” The knife image was allegedly taken from an online marketplace, and the poster threatened to use it against the members of NewJeans as they exited their van.
ADOR issues statement against threat received by NewJeans
In a statement released on Tuesday, ADOR said, “Currently, we are preparing enhanced safety measures with the Japanese concert planning company. At the same time, in Korea, the police are investigating, and we are actively participating in the investigation. We are making every effort to ensure that the artists can participate in scheduled activities safely.”
NewJeans is scheduled to hold their first Japanese fan meeting, Bunnies Camp 2024, at the Tokyo Dome on June 26-27. The group announced their comeback and Japanese debut on March 26. They released a double single on May 24, which included How Sweet, Bubble Gum, and instrumental versions of both tracks.
What more do we know about NewJeans?
NewJeans made their Japanese debut on June 21 with another double single that included Supernatural, Right Now, and instrumental versions of both songs. They are planning to release a new album in the second half of 2024 and embark on their first world tour in 2025.
Formed by ADOR, NewJeans is a South Korean girl group consisting of five members: Minji, Hanni, Danielle, Haerin, and Hyein. The group debuted on July 22, 2022, with the single Attention, followed by Hype Boy and Cookie, which were all part of their debut extended play (EP) released in August 2022. Their first single album, OMG, released in January 2023, achieved commercial success.
