'Kang' Jonathan Majors Reacts To Robert Downey Jr Replacing Him As New Villain In MCU Phase 5

Robert Downey Jr’s return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe has become the talk of the town. While this announcement has left fans excited and eagerly waiting for updates, one former actor from the franchise is disappointed with the recent turn of events.

Jonathan Majors' reaction to MCU’s latest announcement

Marvel has officially put a cap on Jonathan Majors’ Kang. The Hollywood actor was suppose to play the villain Kang in Phase 5 of MCU films including Avengers: Kang Dynasty. Majors recently responded to the news of Robert Downey Jr playing the next big villain, Dr Doom.

He was asked if he was disappointed not to be given same opportunities as Robert Downey Jr, as the latter has also faced legal troubles in the past. Majors said, “I think it’ fair that Mr Downey is being and has been greeted with patience and curiosity and love…and allowed to work his art and be creative at that level…I didn’t get that."

When he was asked if he was hurt by the new direction Marvel has taken. He said, “Yeah, heartbroken. Of course. Come on, yeah, of course. I love him. I love Kang. Doctor Doom is wicked though."

Asked if he would return to the MCU as Kang, Jonathan Majors replied, “Hell yeah! Hell yeah! I love him. I love Kang. If that’s what the fans want and that’s what Marvel wants then let’s roll. Hell yeah."

Jonathan Majors was found guilty on one count of harassment and assault. He was dropped by Marvel on the same day. Majors was sentenced to a one year in prison, in-person intervention program in Los Angeles.
