Exes Malaika Arora-Arjun Kapoor's Awkward Encounter Goes Viral, Netizens Say 'Ugly Breakup Hua Kya'

Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor's relationship has always attracted the interest of netizens. The actors were rumoured to be dating from 2018 and have reportedly parted ways recently. Though they have never confirmed or denied their breakup, their social media activity and public appearances together have fuelled the rumours. Amid the same, a video of the couple attending an event in New Delhi has surfaced online.

On July 26, Malaika Arora and Arjun Kapoor attended designer Kunal Rawal's show at the India Couture Week in Delhi. They were seated in the front row as they cheered for their close friend, Kunal. However, they were not sitting beside each other, further fuelling rumours of their split. 
 

Also, after the show, a video went viral in which Arjun can be seen shielding Malaika from the crowd as he makes way for her. In the video, they can be seen visibly avoiding each other. While Arjun waits obliges fans for selfies, his ex-girlfriend Malaika and could be seen ignoring him and finding her way to the exit. The visuals have led to netizens speculating that the couple did not part on good terms, as was reported earlier. 

Netizens suspect Malaika Arora-Arjun Kapoor had a bad breakup 

As soon as the videos of the actors went viral on social media, social media users took to the comment section to share their opinions on the same. Several users noted how their reaction to each other points out at a bad breakup. A user wrote, “Another case of Bollywood bad breakup”. Another user wrote, “Seems like their breakup was not so amicable after all.” The video made its way to the micro-blogging site Reddit's thread Bolly Blinds and Gossip as well. As comment on the thread read, “Ugly breakup hua kya”.  

Back in May 2024, several media reports suggested that Arjun and Malaika had called it quits. However, the two, to date, have not publicly addressed such rumours. Malaika and Arjun started dating in 2018. The duo, however, had never opened up much about their relationship but kept posting romantic pictures from their vacations as well as wishing each other on birthdays. Malaika was previously married to actor Arbaaz Khan. They have been co-parenting their son Arhaan since their divorce in 2017.
