Deadpool & Wolverine Box Office Collection Day 2: Ryan, Hugh's Film Races Towards ₹50 Crore Club

Deadpool & Wolverine is reportedly eyeing to mint $195 to $205 million in the US and $200 million overseas for $400 to $440 million worldwide opening weekend.

One of the highly anticipated movies Deadpool & Wolverine finally hit the theatres on July 26. Well, it met everyone's expectations with the audience singing the praise and nothing else. Starring Ryan Reynolds and Hugh Jackman, the superhero flick is the 34th film in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) and the third sequel to Deadpool (2016) and Deadpool 2 (2018). Helmed by Shawn Levy, the movie opened at ₹21 crores at the Indian box office with ₹10.9 crores in English language. On the second day, the movie saw a spike in the collection.

On Saturday, the movie nearly minted ₹22.50 crore in India, according to early estimates reported by Sacnilk. Adding the two-day collection, the total stands at ₹43.50 crore. Seeing the trend, the movie is expected to surpass ₹50 crore mark on Sunday. Deadpool & Wolverine had an overall 41.94 per cent English (3D) occupancy on Saturday with the maximum reported in Chennai (83.75 per cent). In the Hindi language, the theatres witnessed 26.52 per cent occupancy with a maximum in Bengaluru (55.50 per cent).

According to a report in bollymoviereviewz.com, the superhero flick has collected $96 million in the USA and is eyeing to mint $195 to $205 million in the US and $200 million overseas for $400 to $440 million worldwide opening weekend.

Meanwhile, Deadpool And Wolverine has become the sixth highest-grossing Hollywood movie in India on day 1 ever. The movie surpassed the opening-day collections of Thor: Love And Thunder and Oppenheimer to clench the sixth spot. As of now, five Hollywood movies have crossed the ₹30 crore mark on day 1 of release in gross domestic collections. The films are - Avengers: Endgame, Avatar: The Way of Water, Spider-Man: No Way Home, Avengers: Infinity War and Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness.
