After Robert Downey Jr's MCU Return, Chris Hemsworth Reveals What Future Holds For Thor

Chris Hemsworth shared an update on the future of his character Thor in the MCU. A few days back, at San Diego Comic-Con, Chris Hemsworth, who was also there to promote his upcoming film Transformers One, took the opportunity to discuss his return as the God Of Thunder.

Chris Hemsworth opens up about Thor’s future in MCU

It has been two years since Chris Hemsworth last played Thor in Thor: Love and Thunder within the Marvel Cinematic Universe. There are no updates regarding the next installment in the Thor franchise yet. During his visit to San Diego Comic-Con to promote his movie, Chris spoke with ExtraTv about his future in the MCU as the hammer-wielding Asgardian.

When asked about his possible return as Thor the thunder god, Chris Hemsworth revealed that he had heard the rumours. He claimed that he doesn't know anything about when he would next wield Mjolnir, that he's just "waiting". He said, “I’m waiting to hear as well. I don’t know.”

Thor is unsure of his MCU return

Chris Hemsworth disclosed he had a blast portraying Thor in the Marvel films and was more than willing to do more of it, but everybody is standing by, waiting for what happens: "I have loved every second of the Marvel experience, and I'm always down to do more, but we're all sort of waiting to hear what's happening."

Chris Hemsworth has been part of the MCU for 14 years now. He began his career with a role as George Kirk in DC’s Star Trek. In 2011, he made his MCU debut with a major role in the film Thor. Since then, the character of the Thunder God has become central to the franchise. Although Chris has not announced any details, fans eagerly await news about the future of the God of Thunder.
