New Delhi: Ahead of poll results, Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar has made a bizarre claim that political opponents are performing a black magic ritual called 'Shatru Bhairavi Yajna' through 'Aghoris' and 'tantriks' at a temple in Kerala. He alleges this ritual is aimed at him and Chief Minister Siddaramaiah to topple their government in Karnataka.

Speaking to reporters, Shivakumar claimed he has credible information that 'Aghoris' are conducting a yagya (special worship) in a secluded area near the Rajarajeshwari temple in Kerala. "The ritual is underway and is being conducted against me, the CM, and to destabilize the Congress government," he alleged.

Shivakumar stated that participants in the ritual informed him that the main objective of the yagya is to eliminate enemies, and it is called 'Raja Kantaka' and ‘Marana Mohana Stambhana yagyas’.

21 red goats, three buffaloes, 21 black sheep, and five pigs sacrificed

He mentioned that via the Aghoris, a total of 21 red goats, three buffaloes, 21 black sheep, and five pigs are being sacrificed in the name of black magic. When questioned about the involvement of leaders from the BJP or JD-S in the ritual, Shivakumar reiterated that politicians from Karnataka are the ones accountable for it.

"I know who is conducting this ritual. Let them continue their efforts; I don't bother. It is left to their belief system. Despite their attempts and experiments to cause harm, the force which I believe in will protect me," he said.

In response to inquiries about conducting a counter-worship to the ritual, Shivakumar asserted, "I pray to God for a minute every day before going to work." When pressed to identify those involved, he urged the media to investigate instead of pressuring him for names.

"Why would I bother about it? It is their attempt. It is their belief. No matter what they attempt, the forces we believe in will protect us", Shivakumar further stated.
