New Delhi: The Indian Institute of Technology, Roorkee (IIT Roorkee) has announced that it will oversee the Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2025 for admission to postgraduate engineering programs. The institute has published the GATE 2025 syllabus and exam pattern on the new official website, gate.iitr.ac.in.

Details such as the information brochure, exam date, application fee, frequently asked questions, and the link to apply online will be available soon on the GATE 2025 official website.

GATE 2025 Eligibility Criteria, Exam Pattern

According to the eligibility criteria, candidates currently in the third or final year of any undergraduate degree program or those who have completed any government-approved degree program in engineering, technology, architecture, science, commerce, arts, or humanities are eligible to appear for GATE 2025.

This year, GATE 2025 will feature 30 test papers, and candidates can choose to appear for up to two papers. Last year, a new paper on data science and artificial intelligence was added to the GATE lineup.

The GATE 2025 exam will be conducted as a computer-based test with a duration of three hours. The question paper will include sections on general aptitude and the subjects selected by the candidate. Each question will be worth one or two marks, with negative marking applied for incorrect answers.
