New Delhi: The registration process for Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Selection Test (JNVST) 2025 for class 6 admissions has begun today, July 17. The registration window will close on September 16. The official website on which candidates will have to register themselves is cbseitms.rcil.gov.in. Candidates should make sure to fill and submit the JNVST admission form before the deadline.
JNVST 2025 for class 6 admissions: Check exam dates
JNVST Class 6 exam will be held on January 18 and April 12. Check details below:
On Saturday, 12th April, 2025 at 11.30 A.M. in the States of Jammu and Kashmir (except Jammu-I, Jammu-II & Samba), Meghalaya, Mizoram, Nagaland, Sikkim, and in the Districts of Dibang Valley and Tawang of Arunachal Pradesh, in the Districts of Chamba, Kinnaur, Mandi, Sirmour, Kullu, Lahaul & Spiti and Shimla of Himachal Pradesh, in the District of Darjeeling of West Bengal, and Leh & Kargil districts of UT Ladakh.

JNVST 2025: Steps to apply
- Interested and eligible candidates should visit the official site of Navodaya Vidyalaya on https://cbseitms.rcil.gov.in/nvs/
- Under the ‘Candidate Corner’ section, on the link that reads- here for Registration for Class VI JNVST (2025-26)
- Candidates will be redirected to a page where they will have to on the registration
- Candidates will have to fill in the application form and pay the application fee
- After completing the process, candidates should on submit option
- Candidates should then download their application form and take a printout of the same
- Candidates should keep visiting the official website for more updates.
Eligibility Criteria
Only the bonafide resident candidates from the district concerned where the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya has been located and studying class V in the same district are eligible to apply for admission.
A candidate who is studying class V in a district is allowed to apply for admission to JNV in the same district only. Only the bonafide resident candidates from the district concerned where the Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya has been located and studying class V in the same district are eligible to apply for admission to JNVs through JNVST.
Reservation of Seats
Candidates must note that at least 75% of the seats in a district are filled by candidates provisionally selected from rural areas of the district. The remaining seats are open which will be filled from Urban and Rural Area candidates of the districts on the basis of merit.
JNVST Class 6 Exam Pattern
The JNVST will be of two-hour duration from 11:30 AM to 01:30 PM and will have 3 sections with only objective type questions. There are 80 questions in total for 100 marks. There will be sections like- mental ability test, arithmetic test, and language test.
